Tasha Layton and Jenn Johnson on the red carpet at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards

Tasha Layton on 'Meet Me in the Valley' and Three Days in Death Valley

July 04, 2026

Tasha Layton stopped by the red carpet at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards in Nashville for a warm, lighthearted conversation with Bethel Music's Jenn Johnson and GodTube Music's Brandon Woolum — one that moved easily from matching dresses to the deep spiritual ground behind Tasha's new documentary.

The two friends, who joke that they're sometimes mistaken for one another, turned up in coordinated looks and spent much of the chat cheering on each other's latest work. It was the kind of easy, joyful exchange between artists who clearly support one another.

For Tasha, the conversation turned to Meet Me in the Valley, her YouTube documentary about inviting Jesus into life's hardest and lowest places. She shared that she spent three days alone in Death Valley, deliberately turning off the noise to seek God — an experience she describes as one that genuinely changed her.

Jenn Johnson, for her part, spoke about releasing her first solo album, a deeply personal collection touching on worship, family, marriage and childhood memories, with contributions from her husband, children and several guests.

Both artists went on to serve as presenters at the K-LOVE Fan Awards. You can watch the full red-carpet conversation on GodTube, and find more of Tasha's music and her Meet Me in the Valley documentary at tashalayton.com.
